Plumbing Trades Employees Union (PTEU)
The Plumbing Trades Employees Union (PTEU) or "The Plumber's Union" is one of the fastest growing trade unions in Australia. It represents workers of the plumbing trade and their assistants. This includes plumbers, gasfitters, drainers, roof plumbers, sprinkler fitters, apprentices, laborers and many other related categories.
The PTEU is one of the three unions that form the federally registered union, 'The Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Union of Australia' (CEPU).

The Plumber's Union provides a multitude of services to its' members including:
Providing industrial negotiation and representation relating to your rate of pay and conditions of employment
Appearing before relevant Industrial Tribunals
Arranging for Organisers and Industrial Officers to visit workplaces to speak to members, inspect working conditions, and to check employer’s salary and time records
And also provides:
Legal assistance and representation where necessary in matters relating to a member's employment.
This may involve: (i) intervening on your behalf in an industrial dispute with your employer. e.g. unfair dismissal; (ii) providing free and complete assistance with Worker's Compensation matters. The Union’s lawyer will also provide a free first consultation.
